Byron Lars Fall 2011 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

Byron Lars displayed his 2011 fall collection this past February 11th at Lincoln Center in Manhattan. The collection was Native American inspired and the models had tribal like white paint under their eyes and were set against a forest backdrop. The mood was set with a tribal drummer, champagne and a gorgeous city view from the ballroom. It was a beautiful collection with a great turnout.

Congratulations Jeffrey!

Jeffrey’s collection looked fabulous and the win is well deserved! Last night the cast, crew, friends and family turned out to Casa Mezcal on the lower east side for the exciting suspenseful season finale of The Fashion Show! The night was filled with margaritas, celebration, and dancing. We all can’t wait to see what Jeffrey will create next. Best of luck Jeffrey!

Backstage Eccentric Glamour with Simon Doonan

Caesar and Jeffrey worked it out this week and we were happy to be on the winning team! Here's a picture of CJ, and I hanging out backstage having fun in our fabulous dresses and vintage pieces. On top of my head is a bird drinking a cup of coffee.

Backstage

Here are some pictures backstage with Jeanie, and the TRESemme crew getting us ready for our Hamptons inspired fashion show! Cindy's look worked for the Hamptons, and she was talented when it came to styling the look too.

The runway really did look and feel like a boardwalk, without the large gaps for your stilettos to fall through:)

Plaid History

Last night the designers made plaid look better than it's ever looked before. I'm not usually a plaid person because a lumber jack image pops into my head, but I have changed my mind.

The plaid in our house made each girl look sexy and beautiful. I loved how Cindy did this coat and it reminded me of a flower. Jeffery's dress was elegant and dramatic.

Walking on Glass

Seductively sexy show! The runway was made of mirrors and the strobe lights created fantastic visual illusions through the otherwise dark stage. Suddenly, while I was walking, I thought, will I be able to see the end of the runway?

I wasn’t sure but, I picked a point to focus on and walked like I knew where the end was. One thing is for sure, always be calm when you are walking on glass.  I don’t get stressed anymore about what could go wrong because there are too many ways to turn a difficult piece or situation into either a show stopper, or a crowd pleasing moment.  Outlandish outfit; play into the fantasy, walk like the vision not as yourself.  Although, I do admire the sexy yet deadly Femme Fatale ;)

See you at the next fashion show.
